Here are the cows and calves just rotated into a new paddock of knee high grass. We have 33 calves on the ground now with four more cows due in the next two weeks and then four late calving cows due in May. The rain during March posed some management challenges during calving, but all turned out well. The rain helped continue to fill the reservoirs that provide irrigation water for us during the summer, so the water prospects are definitely improved from last year. If you would like to do a tour of our place, this is a perfect time to see the cattle and the grass. Just give us a call or send an email and we'll arrange a visit for you and your family or guests.
